The Alabama Crimson Tide have added the UT Martin Skyhawks to their 2020 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.
The 2020 Alabama-UT Martin game was mentioned in UTM’s 2018 football media guide, although without a specific date. The date was provided to FBSchedules.com by UTM’s sports information department.
Alabama will host UT Martin at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 14, 2020. The game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
UT Martin competes in the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Skyhawks have started the 2018 season winless after consecutive defeats at Missouri and Middle Tennessee.
The addition of UT Martin tentatively completes the non-conference schedule for Alabama in 2020. The Crimson Tide are scheduled to open the season against the USC Trojans in Arlington, Texas on Sept. 5.
Alabama returns home to Tuscaloosa the following week to host Georgia State on Sept. 12 and then two weeks later hosts Kent State on Sept. 26.
UT Martin has also tentatively completed their non-conference slate for 2020. The Skyhawks are set to open the season at Southern Illinois on Sept. 3 and later travel to take on Memphis on Sept. 19.
Football Schedules
Interesting this date is 2 weeks before Iron Bowl. Wonder if it will be a bye week or conference game the week before Auburn now.
How much frosting will Bama need to cover these cupcakes?
Wow, UT Martin, Georgia State and Kent State. I cannot wait to see the final choice-probably a $5 million dollar money game at a neutral site within a 3 hour drivein a 3 hour drive.
It’s in the article. Bama opens against USC in Arlington, Texas.
