The SEC typically announces their football schedule about one year prior to the season. However, the announcement for 2021 was delayed due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, such as the continuation of the pandemic, SEC teams will play eight conference games and four non-conference contests. Tennessee is the only SEC school that does not have all four of their non-conference games known.
Opening weekend of the 2021 SEC football schedule features several good non-conference contests, three of which are neutral-site games — Georgia vs. Clemson (in Charlotte, NC), Miami FL vs. Alabama (in Atlanta, GA), and Louisville vs. Ole Miss (in Atlanta, GA; Labor Day). LSU also travels to take on the UCLA Bruins in the first game of a home-and-home series that concludes in 2024.
The 2021 SEC Championship Game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Dec. 4.
