The Saint Francis U. Red Flash and the Buffalo Bulls have agreed to reschedule their postponed football game in 2020 to the 2025 season, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Buffalo was scheduled to host Saint Francis U. at UB Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y., on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, but the game was postponed due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Saint Francis U. will now travel to take on Buffalo at UB Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, according to a copy of an amendment to the original contract obtained from the University at Buffalo via a state public records request. Buffalo has also increased the guarantee payment to SFU from $300,000 to $315,000.
The 2025 contest between Buffalo and Saint Francis U. will mark their first-ever meeting on the gridiron.
The addition of Saint Francis U. completes the non-conference schedule for Buffalo in 2025. Other opponents for the Bulls that season include Minnesota (Aug. 28) and UMass (Sept. 13) on the road and UConn (Sept. 27) at home.
Buffalo is the first known non-conference opponent for the Saint Francis U. Red Flash for the 2025 season.
