The 2013 SEC Football Schedules were officially announced today. Conference play begins on Aug. 31 when Ole Miss travels to face Vanderbilt.
Featured 2013 non-conference match-ups include Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (at Atlanta, GA), Arkansas at Rutgers, Washington State at Auburn, Florida at Miami (FL), Georgia at Clemson, Louisville at Kentucky, LSU vs. TCU (at Arlington, TX), Mississippi State vs. Oklahoma State (at Houston, TX), Missouri at Indiana, Ole Miss at Texas, North Carolina at South Carolina, Tennessee at Oregon, SMU at Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt at Ohio State.
From the SEC:
The 2013 schedule is considered a “bridge” schedule and not based on any other previous or future scheduling formats. The SEC Athletics Directors will convene in Spring 2013 to begin formulating schedules for the 2014 season and beyond.
“As we began working on the 2013 football schedule, it became apparent that the conference would need another year of the ‘bridge’ schedule to make everything work,” said SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. “I appreciate the SEC transition team and our athletics directors, who came together to put this schedule in place. We look forward to starting with our new scheduling rotation in 2014.”
The eight-game conference schedule consists of six games played inside the division and two games against teams from the opposite division. The cross-divisional common opponents that were previously announced by the conference will not take place until 2014.
In order to maintain a balanced schedule for the 2014 season and beyond, there are three games that will have repeat hosts from the 2012 schedule. Those games are Ole Miss at Alabama, Texas A&M at Ole Miss and Georgia at Auburn.
The 2013 SEC Championship Game will be played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 7.

2013 SEC Championship Game (at Atlanta, GA)
I thought Texas A&M-South Carolina and Missouri-Arkansas were supposed to be every year
they will starting in 2014
I was thinking the same thing?…why would ark mizzou not have a annual series?…..
They won’t be having it until the season of 2014.
this link says it all….why SEC?

i thought we had this worked out already
LSU IS NOV.9 NOT NOV.2
SEPT.7 IS WHERE THE OTHER NON-CON.GAME WILL BE.
MY SOURCE TELLS ME IT MIGHT BE LA-MONROE.
NEED TO WORK OUT THE DETAILS
So much for Ohio State opening with Vandy next year.
Yep, they canceled that and a 2013-14 series with Northwestern.
DAFUQ, if tennesseee plays oregon, florida plays miami, bama plays va tech, georgia plays clemson, and m-state plays okla state, ole miss plays texas, and auburn plays w-state, mizzou plays indiana, and lsu plays tcu, and scar plays unc then vandy can play ohio state.
Nothing like the SEC playing cupcakes.
Uga vs. Clemson and Ga Tech
Florida vs Miami and FSU
Alabama vs. Va. Tech
South Carolina vs. Clemson
oh I’m sorry those are ACC schools so you’re right… cupcakes
WHOAH BACK UP… tennessee playing oregon, vandy playing ohio state, florida at miami, those arent cupkakes
NO team in any level of football should play 3 consecutive road games. South Carolina shouldn’t have to do that.
uga basically is…. scar, ky this week, and jax next week
Texas A&M plays at Auburn, at Mississippi State and at Alabama starting next week.
next season looks like AU is doing that too
Oct. 19 – at Texas A&M
Nov. 2 – at Arkansas
Nov. 9 – at Tennessee
even though they have an off week between A&M and Arkansas that is still tough
Alabama is playing two FCS teams? Wow. #1 team in the country huh?
Actually, Georgia State will be FBS/Sun Belt in 2013.
as and Auburn fan I hate the tide
but Kyle pay attention to the world of college football before you type
georgia state isnt gonna be an fcs team for long, theyre going to C-USA in 2013. tennessee had to play em this year and we won 51-10
an not and
the Tide would beat the Browns so yes they are #1 Kyle
Anyone have an idea why ole miss plays LSU midway threw the season next year? Instead of second to last.
This is a “bridge” schedule according to the SEC. So the Ole Miss-LSU matchup may return later in the season. Several things were changed in order to make this schedule.
Why does ole Miss’s first five games only include 1 home game???
Cause the last seven games only has one away game
Missouris got a freakin cupcake schedule! The only team they have a chance at losing to is Florida.
And maybe Ole Miss on a very good day….since they are playing in Oxford.
Since they totally beat South Carolina, Georgia, and Vanderbilt this year. But yea the Gators will be the team to take down the mighty tigers next year. Come on. I agree they are playing some wack non conference teams but they are going to be at the bottom of the bag in the East as well as the rest of the SEC
and tennessees getting their payback, and tamu is crush mizzou.
Why isn’t the band travling with the team?
Where is the Aggie Band?
bama, georgia, and florida suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha sikeeeee
Don’t think so buddy
WHAT U CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH SEC IS THE TOUGHEAST………………………..
better than 2012/2013 schudule. way better
Mark Stoops in the BBN baby woooooo. Kentucky should do great this year 7-5 Minimum.
Alabama isnt going nowhere for along time so get ready for us too roll tidewin this year and next hell prob untill nick retires :)
The whole thing got screwy whenever TAMU cried and threw a hissy like a little 3 yr old and then got moved over to the SEC…money, money, money, thats what it was all about… I think the powers that be done it just to shut them up…. the REAL reason is because they got tired of UT in Austin kicking the doody out of their arses everytime they met on the gridiron. I was ONCE a TAMU fan…even done some construction on their campuses…was once a fan of the BIG 12…NO LONGER!!! I am SEC and ALABAMA ROLL TIDE ALL they way now, BABYYY!!!!! GO ‘BAMA!!! KICK the doody outta TAMU in 2013!!! And if anyone questions my comments… I feel I have all the right to say them because I live only 50 minutes fr the nasty smelly stinking campus.
Missouri got blow out by South Carolina this past season 31-10 so bama fan#1 do your homework before you open your mouth
Obviously Florida, LSU, Tex A&M, and Alabama are the best teams in the SEC and the Country. Getting tired of this Georgia bull crap schedule… hey if they wanna play a Vandy or Tennessee team and win by 30 and call it a big game for the schedule then by all means lets put them in the top 5??? Thats stupid… Im a LSU fan and Im sorry but Georgia doesn’t play ANYONE except florida and us every millennium! Us and Florida deserve to be called great teams for our schedules. Forget Georgia.
As a UGA fan, I remember the last JAX meeting, and I vaguely remember details about Florida’s last bowl game. It was an embarassment to the SEC. They did not belong where they were all season. Hell UF got all they wanted from Bowling Green too.
Bowling Green? Really? What about getting a scare from a woeful Kentucky and Tennessee team? Florida blew both out. Florida’s bowl game resulted from a lack of who they were playing…they expected an Oklahoma team and I garuntee they would have been better prepared, but they played a good Louisville squad. And next year when Georgia goes 8-5 loosing to LSU, Florida, Clemson, GA Tech, and Vandy…they’ll be right back where they should be in the SEC.. the bottom.
Well I wanna see a college team play against a pro team lol
Lsu and georgia is going to be good September 28
