The Ohio State Buckeyes and the TCU Horned Frogs have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2018 and 2019, both schools announced today.
Ohio State will travel to face TCU at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Forth Worth on Sept. 15, 2018. The Buckeyes will then host the Horned Frogs at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Sept. 21. 2019.
The two schools have played six times, all in Columbus, but haven’t squared off since 1973. Ohio State leads the series 4-1-1.
“Competing against programs from the state of Texas has always offered exciting experiences for our players and fans,” Ohio State Director of Athletics Gene Smith said. “TCU continues to be one of the top football programs in the country.”
Ohio State is 18-5-1 against teams from the Big 12 while Texas Christian is 12-20-2 against the Big Ten.
The Buckeyes have one other game scheduled in 2018, vs. Cincinnati on Sept. 8. TCU is their first non-conference opponent for 2019.
Ohio State is the first opponent scheduled for the Horned Frogs for both the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
