The 2012 Conference USA Football Championship Game is set with the UCF Knights facing the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Tulsa will host the game at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Sat., Dec. 1 at 12 p.m. ET (ESPN2).
Tulsa (9-3, 7-1 C-USA) won the Western Division after beating UCF 23-21 on Nov. 17. The Golden Hurricane finished two games ahead of SMU.
UCF (9-3, 7-1 C-USA) clinched the Eastern Division with a 49-24 win vs. UAB on Saturday. The Knights had the same record as East Carolina, but won the tie-breaker because they defeated the Pirates head-to-head.

I assume Tulsa hosts because of their previous victory over UCF. Who would host, hypothetically speaking, if the two division champions had identical conference records and did not play each other in the regular season?
Yes, Tulsa won head-to-head, which was the tiebreaker since they had the same record in conference play.
