The 2011 Marathon MAC Championship football game is set with the NIU Huskies facing the Ohio Bobcats. The game will be held on Friday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan (ESPN2).
Northern Illinois (9-3, 7-1 MAC) beat Eastern Michigan 18-12 on Friday to clinch the MAC West Division. Ohio (9-3, 6-2 MAC) clinched the MAC East Division on Nov. 16 with a 29-28 win at Bowling Green.
The overall series between these two schools is tied at nine games each. In their last meeting in 2009, the Bobcats beat the Huskies 38-31.
Both teams are 9-3 so this is one of those who have they lost to? And are they any good? Looking at Northern Illinois, Wisconsin. Great Team. Kansas. Field Goal, Typical upset. Central Michigan. Should have won.
Looking at Ohio, Rutgers. An OK team. Buffalo. No. No. No. Ball State, Bowl eligible team.
Ohio 24 NIU 14
I don’t understand that reasoning at all, it looked like you were saying NIU lost to better teams, but then you have Ohio winning…?
Frank Solich has done such a good job with Ohio…maybe they are not flashy but for a MAC team to have a winning record year in and year out…thats a sign of good coaching.
