The Ohio State Buckeyes have added the Colorado Buffaloes to their 2011 football schedule. The game has been officially announced by both schools.
The Buckeyes will host the Buffaloes at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on September 24, 2011. Ohio State will pay Colorado $1.4 million for the game. This is a single game matchup and will not be a home-and-home series.
Ohio State leads the overall series against Colorado 3-1. The two schools have played twice in Columbus, once in Boulder and once in the 1977 Orange Bowl.
Other non-conference games for Ohio State in 2011 include Akron, Toledo and at Miami (FL).
Colorado faces California and Fresno State at home, travels to Hawaii and meets Colorado State in Denver. The Fresno State game has been moved to October 8 to accommodate their game at Ohio State.
