Week one of the college football schedule for the 2017 season kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 31 with 15 games in the FBS.
The FIU Golden Panthers at the UCF Knights kick off the schedule at 6:00pm ET on CBSSN. At 7:30pm ET on FOX Sports 1, the No. 10 Oklahoma State Cowboys play host to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
The 2nd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes open the season with a rare Big Ten Conference game. The Buckeyes play at the Indiana Hooisers at 8:00pm ET on ESPN.
Eight college football games are slated for Friday. Featured games include Colorado vs. Colorado State (in Denver, CO), Utah State at (9) Wisconsin, and Boston College at NIU.
Saturday features several big-time non-conference games: NC State vs. South Carolina (in Charlotte, NC), No. 11 Michigan vs. No. 17 Florida (in Arlington, TX), No. 3 Florida State vs. No. 1 Alabama (in Atlanta, GA), and BYU vs. No. 13 LSU (in New Orleans, LA).
Two games are slated for Sunday: Texas A&M at UCLA and No. 22 West Virginia at No. 21 Virginia Tech (in Landover, MD). Week one concludes on Monday (Labor Day) with No. 25 Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech (in Atlanta).
