By Kevin Kelley -

Kansas State WildcatsOn Thursday, Kansas State athletics director John Currie announced in a letter to K-State Nation that the Wildcats have completed their 2013 and 2014 non-conference football schedules.

Currie previously announced that the 2013 slate was set on April 20, but confirmed that schedule as well as the 2014 opponents yesterday. All six of Kansas State’s 2013 and 2014 non-conference games will be played at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan.

The 2013 season will see North Dakota State, UL Lafayette, and UMass all visit the Wildcats. Although dates were not specified, other school releases have K-State opening the season at home against North Dakota State on Aug. 31. Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns will then visit on Sept. 7 followed by the UMass Minutemen on Sept. 14.

In 2014, Kansas State will host Stephen F. Austin, Auburn, and UTSA. The Wildcats will open the 2014 season at home against Stephen F. Austin on Aug. 30, a date which was announced by SFA in July.

Auburn was previously slated to visit on Sept. 20, but Currie stated that the Tigers would be the “third game of the season.” The UTSA Roadrunners will visit on Sept. 27 according to their official website.

The Wildcats will also host five Big 12 games in 2013, which means that they will play eight games at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium. The Big 12 schedule rotation will then have K-State playing four conference home games in 2014.

Your absolutely right Kevin!!!! Bill Snyder never plays anyone in ooc. He has only played 3 road games OOC during his 20 yr coaching career. PLAY SOMEONE KSU THEN U CAN BE A CONTENDER..

3 OOC games on road? Do you know anything about K-State and where they have actually played?
Here are their OOC road games, which dont include Iowa and Cal at neutral Sites.

Arizona St, N Illinois(2), Utah St, Washington, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Rice, USC, Marshall, UCLA, Louisiana Lafayette, Miami (FLA)

Everyone has an opinion!!! Ask yourself if Snider’s past plans have been unsuccessful. Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken.

yea but if u want to be considered an elite school. GOT danmitt play someone in non con. Thats the reaon y they wont play for the national championship game. I live in Kansas, so i hear about him everyday. ROn prince was the only coach to have the balls to play quality opponents in OOC. BTW, Bill snyder was supposed to play oregon and miss st this year, Turmed them down for an FCs school and a D2 team. i mean KSu non con strength of schedule under snyder is in the bottom of fbs football at 68th.

Oregon NCS 2012 (this year) Arkansa State, Fresno State, & Tennessee Tech. When you are in a tough conference like the Big 12 and play everyone in the Conference, what do you expect. I rst my case…Go Snyder!

North Dakota St will come in there next year and beat the Wildcats. You better watch out. They are back to back FCS national champions and will be better next year. With KSU losing alot of starters, I see this being a nail biter.

KD, How lucky is FOX 1 Sports in getting the Kick of Game of the National TV Season Aug.30, with the 2 time Defending Champions of FCS North Dakota State, loaded with Seniors, and the 2012 Big 12 Conference Champs for prime time TV? Fox is estimating 70 million viewers may tune in to see this game. Oh by the way many Big 12 Fans should learn alot from this game. This team likes going to Texas in January, and they will add Kansas State in August as another FBS team that goes down. Should be a super game to watch for all Misouri Valley Conference Team Fans, as for Wildcats, you best get you bootstraps on….this Bison team is coming to win.
