The Western Kentucky (WKU) Hilltoppers have announced their revised 2020 football schedule, which features five home games and 11 contests overall.
Western Kentucky will open the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 12 on the road against the Louisville Cardinals of the ACC. The Hilltoppers open their home slate the following week on Sept. 19 when the Liberty Flames visit Houchens-Smith Stadium in Bowling Green, Ky.
After a bye week on Sept. 26, WKU returns to action when they travel to open Conference USA action against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Oct. 3. The Hilltoppers then return home to host the Marshall Thundering Herd on Oct. 10 before traveling to face the UAB Blazers on Oct. 17.
The Chattanooga Mocs, members of the Southern Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), visit Houchens-Smith Stadium on Oct. 24. The contest was rescheduled from Thursday, Sept. 3 and will be the only fall contest for Chattanooga.
Western Kentucky then travels for consecutive road contests against the BYU Cougars on Oct. 31 and the Florida Atlantic Owls on Nov. 7. Back-to-back home games in Bowling Green follow against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Nov. 14 and the FIU Panthers on Nov. 21.
WKU is slated to close out the regular-season on the road against the Charlotte 49ers on Nov. 28.
Due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, WKU had games canceled at Indiana (Sept. 12) and home against Old Dominion (Oct. 31).
