College football games affected by Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence is currently a category 2 storm and it is heading for the North Carolina and South Carolina area. Due to the approaching storm, several games on the week 3 college football schedule will be affected.

Below are the college football games that have changed dates and/or locations or that have been canceled altogether. New information will be posted as it is released.

Stetson at Presbyterian

Stetson at Presbyterian on Saturday, Sept. 15 had been moved to Stetson’s Spec Martin Memorial Stadium in DeLand, Fla. However, the game is now canceled.

Walsh at Jacksonville

Walsh at Jacksonville on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been canceled.

Middle Tennessee at Georgia

Middle Tennessee at Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been moved up from 7:15 to noon ET and will be televised by ESPNews.

Savannah State at Howard

Savannah State at Howard on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been postponed. The MEAC states that “a make-up date is to be determined and will be announced as soon as possible.”

Marshall at South Carolina

Marshall at South Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. South Carolina will look for an opportunity to replace the game.

Georgia Southern at Clemson

Georgia Southern at Clemson on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been moved up from 3:30pm ET to noon ET. TV is TBA.

Colgate at Furman

Colgate at Furman on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Western Carolina at Gardner-Webb

Western Carolina at Gardner-Webb has been moved up one day to Friday, Sept. 14 at 6:00pm ET.

Southern Miss at Appalachian State

Southern Miss at Appalachian State will not be played as scheduled this Saturday. The two schools are exploring options to reschedule the game.

ETSU at VMI

ETSU at VMI has been moved up one day to Friday, Sept. 14 at 2:30pm ET. The game was previously slated to be broadcast via ESPN+.

Old Dominion at Charlotte

Old Dominion at Charlotte has been moved up two days to Thursday, Sept. 13 at 4:00pm ET. The game will be streamed on ESPN3.

Saint Francis U. at Richmond

Saint Francis U. was slated to travel to Richmond on Saturday, Sept. 15. The two schools will now meet on the campus of SFU at DeGol Field in Loretto, Pennsylvania on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 5:00pm ET. The game will be streamed by NEC Front Row.

NC Central at SC State

NC Central at SC State, a MEAC contest, has been postponed from Sept. 15 to Saturday, Nov. 24.

Guilford at Davidson

Guilford at Davidson has been moved up two days to Thursday, Sept. 13 at 7:00pm ET.

East Carolina at Virginia Tech

East Carolina at Virginia Tech has been canceled. ECU hopes the game can be rescheduled later this season.

Ohio at Virginia

The Ohio-Virginia game has been moved to Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The game will still be played on Saturday, Sept. 15 and it will kick off at 4:30pm ET.

Tennessee State at Hampton

Tennessee State at Hampton on Saturday, Sept. 15 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Robert Morris at James Madison

Robert Morris at James Madison has been moved up two days to Thursday, Sept. 13 at 7:00pm ET.

Elon at William & Mary

Elon at William & Mary, a CAA matchup, will not be played on Saturday and will be rescheduled, per a release from William & Mary.

West Virginia at NC State

West Virginia at NC State will not be played on Saturday, Sept. 15. Additional information on rescheduling the game or a replacement game will come at a later date.

UCF at North Carolina

UCF at North Carolina has been canceled. Per UCF, the two schools “…will continue to discuss the feasibility of playing the game at a later date this season. Also, it is unlikely the Knights will be able to replace the North Carolina contest with another game as the Knights don’t have a true open date.”

Boston College at Wake Forest

Boston College at Wake Forest is still scheduled to be played on Thursday, Sept. 13 but has been moved up two hours to 5:30pm ET. The game will still be broadcast on ESPN.

Charleston Southern at The Citadel

Charleston Southern at The Citadel has been postponed from Saturday, Sept. 15 to Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7:00pm ET. The game is contingent on neither team qualifying for the FCS Playoffs.

Norfolk State at Liberty

Norfolk State at Liberty has been postponed from Saturday, Sept. 15 to Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2:00pm ET. If Norfolk State qualifies for the FCS Playoffs, the game will be canceled.

Campbell-Coastal Carolina

Campbell at Coastal Carolina was scheduled to be played on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Coastal Carolina’s Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. The game will now be played at Cambpell’s Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, North Carolina on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 2:00pm ET (ESPN3).
