On Friday, Louisiana Tech A.D. and Head Coach Derek Dooley announced the Bulldogs’ 2009 non-conference football schedule. Tech will play games at Auburn, Navy and LSU and will face Nicholls State at home. The Bulldogs are 0-7 against Auburn and 3-0 against Nicholls State. Louisiana Tech and Navy have never played.
In 2009, the Bulldogs will open the season on September 5 at Auburn, and then travel to Annapolis to face Navy on September 12. Tech will return home to host Nicholls State on September 19. Their matchup against the LSU Tigers will be on November 14 in Baton Rouge.
Louisiana Tech also announced a home-and-home series with Southern Mississippi. The teams will play at Tech in 2010 and 2013 and will play at Southern Miss in 2011 and 2014. The Bulldogs are 13-29 against the Golden Eagles.
