The Florida State Seminoles will open the 2027 season at home against the ULM Warhawks, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the game agreement between Florida State University and ULM was obtained from the University of Louisiana Monroe through a state public records request.

Florida State is scheduled to host ULM at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., on August 28, 2027. Under the terms of the agreement, the Seminoles will pay the Warhawks a $1.35 million guarantee for the contest.

The matchup was originally slated for Sept. 11, 2027, but an amendment to the contract moved the game to Aug. 28. The adjustment aligns with the NCAA’s June decision to adopt a uniform 14-week regular season beginning in 2027. Under the new format, FBS programs will be permitted to open their seasons during what is currently designated as Week Zero, the weekend preceding Labor Day weekend, which will become the sport’s standard Week 1.

Florida State owns a 3-0 all-time record against ULM. The teams first met in 2011 and most recently faced off in 2019.

The Seminoles’ remaining non-conference schedule for the 2027 season includes a home game against ETSU on Nov. 20 and the annual rivalry matchup at Florida on Nov. 27.

The ACC previously released the conference opponents for each league member in 2027. Florida State will host Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, and Stanford, while traveling to California, Clemson, North Carolina, and Syracuse.

ULM now has three non-conference opponents set for its 2027 schedule. In addition to the season opener at Florida State, the Warhawks are scheduled to host Sam Houston on Sept. 4 and travel to Florida Atlantic on Sept. 25.
