The Cincinnati Bearcats have added the Central Connecticut Blue Devils to their 2027 football schedule, the school announced Wednesday.

Cincinnati will host Central Connecticut at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2027, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The matchup replaces a previously scheduled contest against West Georgia that was canceled earlier this year.

Located in New Britain, Conn., Central Connecticut State University competes in the Northeast Conference (NEC) at the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The Blue Devils are currently 5-3 overall and remain unbeaten in conference play with a 4-0 record.

With the addition of Central Connecticut, Cincinnati has finalized its 2027 non-conference schedule. The Bearcats are also slated to host Missouri State on Sept. 4 and travel to face Boston College on Sept. 18.

The Big 12 has already announced its conference opponents for the 2027 season. Cincinnati is scheduled to host Houston, Kansas, Oklahoma State, TCU, and West Virginia, while traveling to face Arizona State, Baylor, Kansas State, and UCF.

Central Connecticut has also completed its 2027 non-conference slate. Following its season-opening trip to Cincinnati, the Blue Devils will host Merrimack on Sept. 4 before hitting the road for consecutive games at Holy Cross on Sept. 11 and Buffalo on Sept. 18.

CCSU will conclude non-conference play at home against Dartmouth on Oct. 16.
