The Colorado State Rams have scheduled four future football games against the Northern Colorado Bears, FBSchedules.com has learned. Copies of the contracts for all four matchups were obtained from Colorado State University via a state open records request.

The Rams will host the Bears at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins on September 1, 2029. Colorado State will pay Northern Colorado a $425,000 guarantee for the contest, according to the single‑game agreement.

The schools have also signed a separate three‑game contract that brings Northern Colorado to Fort Collins in 2032, 2033, and 2035. The first of those matchups is set for September 11, 2032, followed by games on September 10, 2033, and September 8, 2035.

Colorado State will pay Northern Colorado $425,000 for both the 2032 and 2033 games, with the guarantee increasing to $450,000 for the 2035 meeting.

The two programs first met in 1893 and last played in 2025, a 21–17 Colorado State victory. The Rams have won 21 straight games in the series and hold a 23‑1‑1 all‑time advantage.

Colorado State also has additional future FCS opponents on its schedule, including Southern Utah in 2026 and Houston Christian in 2027.

Northern Colorado’s future FBS slate includes Wyoming in 2026 and 2030, New Mexico in 2027, and Colorado in 2028 and 2031.

  • $425,000 and $450,000 seems like a lot of money to pay out on this with these two being so near to one another. No real travel cost involved, just a really short bus ride.
