  • I have not heard anything about Disney+ games for this week. ESPN announced in August that they would be simulcasting two games a week on Disney+, but there hasn't been an announcement yet. I feel like the latest they've said something was the Tuesday before. But here it is Thursday.

  • If Texas and Oklahoma were ever to be the top two teams heading into their meeting in the Cotton Bowl, then it has to be at night.

    • It wasn't moved in 1984 when Texas (#1) and Oklahoma (#2) met in the Cotton Bowl at 3:00 PM in the AFTERNOON.

    • Nighttime college football wasn't as lucrative for the major broadcast networks in 1984 as it is now.

    • Z-Man, Favor or opposed next year’s Red River Rivalry will very likely remain at 2:30PM local time.

Night game I have very high confidence in is Duke's Mayo Classic Notre Dame vs Wake Forest that is scheduled for 10/9/27.

    • Antiquity or not Z-man, the current college football broadcast viewership for the 3:30PM games are larger than the 7;30PM broadcast audience.

    • That's not true.

The two most watched games this year were 7:30 start times.

Four of the top ten are 7:30 games. four were 3:30 games. 2 were noon games.

So, while I wouldn't say one time is better than another, I think it shows that people will find good games no matter what time they start at.

    • I really enjoy 3:30PM-4:00PM games & excellent news SEC! SEC! SEC!, I fully agree with you on people will find good games no matter what time they start.

  • Also, Memphis-UAB is a game I want to see on Thanksgiving weekend every year, and NC State-Wake Forest on Thanksgiving weekend once every three years as part of a rotation with the other Tobacco Road rivalries in the ACC.

    • I am satisfied with UAB-Memphis & NC State-Wake Forest playing week six.

      Who needs Thanksgiving???
