The Colgate Raiders have released their 2021 and 2022 football schedules via their official athletics website.
Colgate is a member of the Patriot League in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Both schedules released are for fall seasons. The Patriot League has not yet announced the 2021 spring football schedule.
Colgate will open the fall 2021 season on the road against Boston College on Saturday, Sept. 4. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
The Raiders open their fall 2021 home slate at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y., against Stony Brook on Sept. 11, which is a previously unannounced non-conference game. Two more home games follow against William & Mary on Sept. 18 and Lehigh on Sept. 25, the latter of which is Colgate’s Patriot League opener.
Next, Colgate travels to take on Georgetown on Oct. 2 in another Patriot League battle before completing non-conference action with consecutive road games at Brown on Oct. 9 and at Cornell on Oct. 16.
Colgate returns to Patriot League action on Oct. 23 at Holy Cross, which caps a run of four straight games away from home. The Raiders then return home to host Bucknell at Andy Kerr Stadium on Oct. 30.
Following a bye week on Nov. 6, Colgate closes out the fall 2021 regular-season with contests on the road at Lafayette on Nov. 13 and at home against Fordham on Nov. 20.
Like the 2021 season, Colgate will also open against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent on the road in 2022. The Raiders will travel west to take on Stanford on Saturday, Sept. 3, also a first-ever meeting.
Two more road non-conference games follow for the Raiders — at Maine on Sept. 10 and at Penn on Sept. 17. The following week on Sept. 24, Colgate opens their home schedule and Patriot League play against Holy Cross.
One week later, Cornell visits Andy Kerr Stadium on Oct. 1 for a non-conference contest before the Raiders’ only open date of the season on Oct. 8. That’s followed by a trip to take on Army on Oct. 15, which concludes non-conference action for the Raiders in 2022.
The remainder of the 2022 slate for Colgate is all Patriot League action — vs. Georgetown (Oct. 22), at Bucknell (Oct. 29), vs. Lafayette (Nov. 5), at Lehigh (Nov. 12), and at Fordham (Nov. 19).
Colgate’s non-conference contests in 2022 on the road against Penn and at home against Cornell were both previously unannounced.
