The Arkansas Razorbacks have added the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs to their 2027 football schedule, according to a report by Whole Hog Sports.
Arkansas will host Gardner-Webb at what will then be named CommunityAmerica Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday, August 28, 2027. The game will be the season-opener and will also mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
Gardner-Webb football competes in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Bulldogs are entering their first season under head coach Kris McCullough, who led Division II UT Permian Basin to a 28-10 overall record from 2023 through 2025.
In other non-conference action in 2027, Arkansas will travel to face Tulsa on September 4 before returning to Fayetteville to host Oklahoma State on Sept. 11.
Arkansas’ SEC opponents in 2027 include Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Texas at home, with road trips against Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
Arkansas is the second known non-conference opponent for Gardner-Webb in 2027. The Runnin’ Bulldogs are also scheduled to visit Georgia State on Sept. 4, which was announced earlier this year.
