The 2010 MAC Championship football game is set with the Miami (OH) RedHawks facing the Northern Illinois Huskies. The game will be held on Friday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan (ESPN2).
Miami (Ohio) (8-4, 7-1 MAC) beat Temple 23-3 on Tuesday and won the MAC East Division when Kent State defeated Ohio on Friday.
Northern Illinois (10-2, 8-0 MAC), who won the MAC West Division, thumped Eastern Michigan 71-3 today and went undefeated in conference play.
The overall series between these two schools is tied at seven games each. However, Northern Illinois has won five in a row over Miami. The teams did not meet in the regular season this year.
