The 2009 SEC Championship football game is set with the Alabama Crimson Tide facing the Florida Gators. The game will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. ET at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta (CBS).
The contest is a rematch of last year’s championship game when Florida defeated Alabama 24-14 and went on to win the National Championship.
The Florida Gators are currently ranked number one in the BCS and have a 10-0 record (8-0 SEC). The Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0; 7-0 SEC) are currently ranked number two in the BCS rankings.
Alabama leads the overall series against Florida 20-14, but the Gators have won two in a row.
