The Liberty Flames will travel to Morgantown to face the West Virginia Mountaineers in 2015, Liberty has announced.
An exact date for the contest will be determined later. The game will be only the second meeting ever between the two schools. West Virginia beat Liberty 33-20 in 2009 in Morgantown.
West Virginia now has three non-conference games tentatively slated for each season through 2016. Here is a look at their future opponents:
- 2013 – Maryland (at Baltimore, MD), East Carolina, William & Mary
- 2014 – Alabama (at Atlanta, GA), at Maryland, Towson
- 2015 – East Carolina, Liberty, Maryland
- 2016 – BYU (at Landover, MD), at East Carolina, Maryland
Liberty, which is led by former Buffalo and Kansas head coach Turner Gill, also confirmed games at Kent State in 2013 and at Virginia Tech in 2015.
