Virginia Tech adds future football games vs. Liberty, Old Dominion, and VMI

The Virginia Tech Hokies have added future football games against the Liberty Flames, Old Dominion Monarchs, and VMI Keydets, the school announced on Friday.

Virginia Tech and Liberty previously announced a game at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg on Sept. 5, 2020. Today, the two schools added five games, which brings their future matchup to a total of six games.

The two schools will meet in Blacksburg on Nov. 20, 2027, Sept. 2, 2028, and Sept. 1, 2029. Liberty will host Virginia Tech at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg, Virginia on Nov. 19, 2022 and Sept. 7, 2030.

Virginia Tech and Old Dominion, already slated to meet seven times between 2017 and 2025, have added six more games to their future football series.

The Hokies will host the Monarchs in Blacksburg on Sept. 12, 2026, Sept. 9, 2028, and Sept. 6, 2031. ODU will host Virginia Tech in Norfolk on Sept. 11, 2027, Sept. 22, 2029, and Sept. 6, 2031.

Virginia Tech also announced today that they will host the VMI Keydets on Sept. 5, 2026. Virginia Tech has faced VMI 79 times on the gridiron.
