The Texas Tech Red Raiders have added the Stephen F. Austin Jacks to their 2013 football schedule, the Kansas City Star has reported (via Double-T Nation).
Texas Tech will host Stephen F. Austin at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock on September 7, 2013. In their first and only meeting back in 2001, the Red Raiders beat the Jacks 58-3.
The Red Raiders are currently scheduled to open the 2013 season at SMU on August 31. With the new 9-game Big 12 conference schedule starting in 2011, Texas Tech needs only one more opponent to complete the non-conference portion of their schedule.
Although the dates haven’t been released, Tech will face a Big 12 schedule consisting of, in order, Kansas, Texas A&M, Kansas State, at Oklahoma, Iowa State, at Texas, Oklahoma State, at Missouri and at Baylor.
