The Tennessee Volunteers have added the Ohio Bobcats to their 2030 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Ohio University provided a copy of the game contract with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in response to a state open‑records request.
Under the agreement, Tennessee will host Ohio at Neyland Stadium on September 14, 2030, and will pay the Bobcats a $1.3 million guarantee for the matchup.
The two programs have met twice previously, with the Volunteers winning both contests — 34–23 in 2009 and 28–19 in 2016.
With Ohio now on the slate, Tennessee has tentatively completed its 2030 non‑conference schedule. The Volunteers are set to open the season on August 31 at home against UT Martin before traveling to Washington on September 7.
The SEC has not yet announced Tennessee’s conference opponents for 2030, though the Vols are expected to play five league games at home and four on the road.
Ohio, meanwhile, has its first confirmed non‑conference opponent for 2030. With the MAC shifting to a nine‑game conference schedule beginning in 2028, the Bobcats will have two additional openings to fill.
