The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in 2017, the AJC has reported.

Georgia Tech will host Jacksonville State at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on Sept. 9, 2017. The game will be the third meeting between the two schools following Tech wins in 2008 (41-14) and 2009 (37-17).

Jacksonville State, located in Jacksonville, Alabama, is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). JSU finished the 2014 season 10-2 overall, 8-0 in conference play, and fell to Sam Houston State in the second round of the FCS Playoffs.

Georgia Tech has now tentatively completed their 2017 non-conference football schedule. The Yellow Jackets open the season at the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against Tennessee on Monday, Sept. 4 (Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game).

After hosting JSU, Georgia Tech travels to Orlando to take on UCF on Sept. 16. The final non-conference game of the season for the Yellow Jackets is on Nov. 30 at home against arch-rival Georgia.

In ACC play in 2017, Georgia Tech is set to host North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest and travel to Duke, Miami (FL), Virginia, and Clemson.
