The California Golden Bears and the Ole Miss Rebels have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2017 and 2019, the two schools announced today.
Cal will host the first game of the series at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley on Sept. 16, 2017. Ole Miss will host the final game of the series at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on Sept. 21, 2019.
The 2017 game will be the first meeting between the two schools. It will also mark the first time Ole Miss has faced an opponent from the Pac-12.
To make room for the Ole Miss series, Cal had to push back their previously announced 2019-20 series against the Auburn Tigers.
The Bears and Tigers will now meet at Auburn on Sept. 19, 2020, and in Berkeley on Sept. 18, 2021.
Ole Miss also announced other additions and changes to their future football schedules. The Rebels have added two FCS opponents in UT Martin (Sept. 9, 2017) and Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 14, 2019).
The Rebels were scheduled to visit Tulane in 2017, but that game has been pushed back six years to Sept. 9, 2023. Ole Miss and Tulane will meet in Oxford on Sept. 18, 2021 and Sept. 20, 2025.
