Auburn will open the 2013 season at home against Washington State on Aug. 31. The following week, Arkansas State will visit Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Red Wolves are led by former Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.
The final two non-conference games for Auburn are also at home: Oct. 12 vs. Western Carolina and Oct. 26 vs. Florida Atlantic.
The Tigers were initially slated to face Jacksonville State, but the game was cancelled due to scheduling conflict. Auburn will play JSU a $500,000 buyout fee.
Auburn’s 2013 SEC schedule, which was announced earlier this month, features home games against Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Alabama. Due to the conference needing to balance out the future schedule rotation, Georgia will be making their second straight visit to the plains.
The Tigers will hit the road to face LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
The 2013 season will include two open weeks. Auburn will be off on Sept. 28, prior to Ole Miss, and Nov. 23, prior to the Iron Bowl against Alabama.
