The Wisconsin Badgers officially announced their 2013 football schedule today, which includes a rumored home game against the BYU Cougars.

Wisconsin opens the 2013 season against UMass on Aug. 31, followed by a home game against Tennessee Tech on Sept. 7 and a trip to Arizona State on Sept. 14.

BYU travels to Camp Randall Stadium on Nov. 9 to complete the non-conference portion of Wisconsin’s 2013 schedule. The two schools are also in discussions for future games.

“I’m very excited because hopefully it’s something that will continue to grow from here,” Bielema said. “There have been talks beyond next year and that’s very intriguing to me.”

“Wisconsin is consistently among the top programs in the nation and we are excited to have them as a future opponent,” BYU director of athletics Tom Holmoe said. “I was on the 1980 BYU team that last went to Camp Randall Stadium and it is truly one of the great experiences in college football. We look forward to this game and ongoing relationship.”

The Badgers open up Big Ten play on Sept. 21 at home against Purdue. The game was initially set for Oct. 26, but was moved “with the cooperation of the Big Ten and Purdue.”

The following week, Wisconsin travels to face Ohio State (Sept. 28) and then has their first open date of the season (Oct. 5). The Badgers then host Northwestern (Oct. 12) and travel to Illinois (Oct. 19) before their second open date on Oct. 26.

The remainder of Wisconsin’s 2013 schedule includes at Iowa (Nov. 2), vs. BYU (Nov. 9), vs. Indiana (Nov. 16), at Minnesota (Nov. 23), and vs. Penn State (Nov. 30).
