The Western Michigan Broncos have added the Bryant Bulldogs to their 2027 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the football game contract with Bryant University was obtained from Western Michigan University via a state public records request.
Western Michigan will host Bryant at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Thursday, September 2, 2027. The Broncos will pay the Bulldogs a $350,000 guarantee for playing the game, according to the copy of the contract.
The date for the game could change, however, due to the NCAA shifting to a standardized 14-week football season beginning next year.
The 2027 Western Michigan-Bryant contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron. Western Michigan is 5-0 against Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) teams, while Bryant holds a 1-2 record against current members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
With the addition of Bryant, Western Michigan now has all four of its non-conference opponents set for its schedule in 2027. The Broncos are set to visit Pitt on Sept. 11 and Tennessee on Sept. 18 before hosting Rice on Sept. 25.
Western Michigan becomes the second scheduled non-conference opponent for Bryant in 2027. The Bulldogs are also set to host Brown on October 2 that season.
