The Washington State Cougars have added the Northern Colorado Bears to their 2019 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Washington State will host Northern Colorado at Martin Stadium in Pullman on Sept. 7, 2019. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
According to a copy of the contract obtained from WSU, the Cougars will pay the Bears a $500,000 guarantee for the game.
Washington State now has two of their three non-conference games scheduled for the 2019 season. The Cougars are also slated to host the BYU Cougars on Oct. 12. That matchup was initially slated for the 2013 season but was pushed back.
The addition of Northern Colorado also means that Washington State has an FCS team scheduled each season through 2019. The Cougars are also set to host Portland State (2015), Eastern Washington (2016 & 2018), and Montana State (2017).
