Washington Huskies announce 2011 football schedule

The Washington Huskies have announced their 2011 football schedule. The schedules for the Pac-12 (formerly the Pac-10) have been finalized. Washington is the first school to release their new conference slate.

With the Pac-12, now split into divisions and a conference title game played the first week of December, UW will have 12 games over 13 weeks, and have one bye week.

The Huskies will open the 2011 season with three straight non-conference games: home against Eastern Washington (9/3) and Hawaii (9/10) and at Nebraska (9/17).

The Huskies will be begin the Pac-12 slate with the opener at home vs Cal on Sept. 24, followed by a game at Utah on October 1. After a bye week on Oct. 8, the Huskies have seven straight conference games: Colorado, at Stanford, Arizona, Oregon, at USC, at Oregon State and November 26 vs. Washington State at Qwest Field in Seattle.

The regular season will conclude with the Pac-12 Championship game on December 3, 2011.
