The Washington Huskies have added the San José State Spartans to their 2033 football schedule, according to an official announcement Wednesday.
Washington will host San José State at Husky Stadium in Seattle, Wash., on September 17, 2033, marking the 11th all‑time meeting between the programs.
“We are excited to add the University of Washington from the Big Ten to our future non‑conference schedule,” said Director of Athletics Jeff Konya. “Competing against premier programs in iconic venues like Husky Stadium provides a terrific test for our student‑athletes and an exciting matchup for our alumni and fans.”
The two schools first met in 1958. Their most recent matchup came in 2006, when Washington edged San José State 35–29 to extend its series lead to 10–0.
San José State becomes the first non‑conference opponent added to Washington’s 2033 slate.
The Big Ten has not yet announced conference opponents for that season, though the Huskies are expected to play five home games and four road contests.
The Spartans now have three non‑conference opponents scheduled for 2033. They are set to host Robert Morris on Sept. 10 and travel to Fresno State on Sept. 24 in addition to their trip to Seattle.
