The Washington Huskies have added the North Dakota Fighting Hawks to their 2023 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Washington will host North Dakota at Husky Stadium in Seattle on Sept. 16, 2023. The Huskies will pay the Fighting Hawks a guarantee of $637,500 for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from the University of Washington via a state public records request.
North Dakota is the second scheduled non-conference opponent for Washington for the 2023 season. The Huskies are also scheduled to host Tulsa on Sept. 9.
Washington now has a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponent scheduled for each season through 2023. The Huskies are scheduled to play eastern Washington in 2019, Sacramento State in 2020, Montana in 2021, and Portland State in 2022.
The Fighting Hawks are currently an FCS Independent but are playing a full schedule of Big Sky Conference opponents. In 2020, North Dakota will officially join the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
Washington is the first known non-conference opponent for North Dakota for their 2023 schedule.
