The Virginia Tech Hokies have added the Boise State Broncos to their 2010 football schedule, the schools announced this week. The Hokies and Broncos will play at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland on September 6, 2010.
The game will be the first between Virginia Tech of the ACC and Boise State of the WAC. The Hokies finished 10-4 and won the ACC Championship in 2008. The Broncos finished 12-1 and won the WAC.
Virginia Tech was able to schedule the game with Boise State after canceling a 2010-2011 home-and-home series with the Syracuse Orange.
