College football’s Week 7 rankings feature a return to the top by the Georgia Bulldogs and a massive springboard by the UCLA Bruins after a 17-15 win at Oregon.

The Bruins soared nine spots in the AP Poll and rose 10 places in the Coaches Poll to No. 12 in each, knocking off the Ducks despite Nico Iamaleava departing the game early due to injury. Kentucky vaulted 11 spots in the AP Poll to No. 15 and eight in the Coaches Poll to No. 17 after a 35-34, overtime victory over LSU.

Georgia (6-0) reclaimed the top spot in both polls after a 20-17 victory at Alabama and a walk-off loss by Texas to Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl. 6-0 Notre Dame, 5-0 Miami (Fla.), and 5-1 Ohio State all ascended a spot in the AP Poll following the movement at the top. 6-0 Indiana rose a spot in the Coaches Poll to claim the fourth position, while it jumped two to number five in the AP Poll.. Texas (4-1) sank to number six.

Kentucky recorded the week’s largest jump in the AP Poll, while UCLA made the nine-spot climb to No. 12.

LSU and Oregon absorbed the week’s steepest falls, with the Tigers descending 12 spots to No. 22 after the loss to the Wildcats and the Ducks tumbling entirely out of the poll after the UCLA defeat.
