The Thanksgiving Football Schedule for the 2020 season has been set. The schedule includes all FBS college football and NFL games this holiday weekend.
The football schedule this week kicks off on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 26) with an NFL contest, which features the Houston Texans traveling to take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. The game will be televised by CBS at 12:30pm ET.
One more Thanksgiving Classic game follows at 4:30pm ET on FOX. That matchup features the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Washington Football Team. The prime time NFL game this year, Baltimore at Pittsburgh, has been postponed to Sunday at 1:15pm ET on NBC.
Thanksgiving Day football wraps up with one college football game in the Mountain West Conference. The New Mexico Lobos travel to take on the Utah State Aggies at 7:00pm ET on FS1.
Football on Black Friday begins at Noon ET with two matchups — Iowa State at Texas and UMass at Liberty. Seven additional games are scheduled for Black Friday.
Saturday features a full slate of college football action, while Sunday includes 13 NFL games. The Thanksgiving Week Football Schedule concludes with a Monday Night Football matchup featuring Seattle at Philadelphia.
Thanksgiving week is also Rivalry Week in college football. However, due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, some of the rivalry games will not be played this season. Some of the remaining matchups include Alabama at Auburn, Mississippi State at Ole Miss, Oregon State at Oregon, Stanford at Cal, UCF at USF, and Washington State at Washington.
The College Football Bowl Schedule is slated to begin on Saturday, Dec. 19, which is also conference championship weekend this year. The College Football Playoff pairings for the 2020-21 season will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 20.
