The Texas A&M Aggies have added the Abilene Christian Wildcats to their 2020 football schedule, according to an announcement from ACU on Wednesday.
Texas A&M will host Abilene Christian at Kyle Field in College Station on Nov. 21, 2020. The game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Abilene Christian moved up to the Football Championship Subdivision from Division II in 2014 and is now a member of the Southland Conference. Last season, they finished the season 3-8 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
ACU now has eight games against against FBS opponents lined up for future seasons: at Air Force (Sept. 3, 2016), at New Mexico (Sept. 2, 2017), at Colorado State (Sept. 9, 2017), at Baylor (Sept. 1, 2018), at North Texas (Aug. 31, 2019), at Mississippi State (Oct. 12, 2019), at Texas A&M (Nov. 21, 2020), and at SMU (Sept. 4, 2021).
Texas A&M now has three non-conference games scheduled for the 2020 season. The Aggies are also slated to host North Texas on Sept. 12 and Colorado on Sept. 19.
In conference play in 2020, Texas A&M will host Arkansas (at Arlington, TX), LSU, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt and will travel to Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, and South Carolina.
