Syracuse Orange announce 2012 Football Schedule

The Syracuse Orange have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Minnesota, Northwestern, USC, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and UConn.

Syracuse opens the 2012 season at home on Sept. 1 against the Northwestern Wildcats of the Big Ten. The following week, Syracuse takes on the USC Trojans at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

The Orange continue their non-conference slate with a home game against Stony Brook on Sept. 15 followed by a trip to face Minnesota on Sept. 22. Their final non-conference game is a trip to face new SEC member Missouri on Nov. 17.

Syracuse opens Big East play on Friday, Oct. 5 at home against Pittsburgh (7:00 p.m. ET; ESPN). The Orange then travel to Rutgers on Oct. 13 followed by another Friday game at home against Connecticut (Oct. 19; 8:00 p.m. ET; ESPN).

The remainder of their conference schedule includes at USF (Oct. 27), at Cincinnati (Nov. 3) and vs. Louisville (Nov. 10). Syracuse closes the 2012 regular season with their third Friday night game, this one at Temple (Nov. 23; ABC/ESPN TBA).
