The Stetson Hatters have released their 2019 football schedule, which includes eight home games and 12 contests overall.
Stetson will open the 2019 season with consecutive home contests at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand, Florida, beginning on Saturday, Aug. 31 against the Presbyterian Blue Hose.
The following week on Sept. 7, the Louisiana College Wildcats visit DeLand. Both the Presbyterian and Louisiana College matchups were previously unknown.
Stetson opens Pioneer Football League (PFL) play on Sept. 14 on the road against the Marist Red Foxes. The Hatters then return home to close out non-conference play with back-to-back contests against the Western New England Golden Bears on Sept. 21 and the North Carolina Wesleyan Battling Bishops on Sept. 28.
Stetson hosts a third-straight home contest on Oct. 5 when the Butler Bulldogs visit. The Hatters then have their only off week of the season on Oct. 12.
On Oct. 19, Stetson hosts the Dayton Flyers before traveling for consecutive road contests at the Valparaiso Crusaders on Oct. 26 and at the Jacksonville Dolphins on Nov. 2.
Back-to-back home contests are up next as Stetson will host the San Diego Toreros on Nov. 9 for Homecoming and the Davidson Wildcats on Nov. 16. The Hatters close out the regular-season on the road against the Morehead State Eagles on Nov. 23.
Stetson finished the 2018 season 8-2 overall and 6-2 in PFL action. The Hatters revived their football program in 2013 after a 57-year hiatus.
