The South Carolina Gamecocks will host the UT-Chattanooga Mocs in 2018 and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in 2018 and 2020, FBSchedules.com has learned.

FBSchedules.com obtained contracts for both opponents from the University of South Carolina via an FOIA request.

South Carolina will open the 2018 season vs. Coastal Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on Sept. 1. The Gamecocks will pay the Chanticleers a $1.2 million guarantee for the game, according to the copy of the contract.

In addition to the game in 2018, South Carolina will also host Coastal Carolina in 2020 on a date to be determined. The Gamecocks will pay the Chanticleers a $1.4 million guarantee for that contest.

In their first and only meeting on the gridiron, South Carolina defeated Coastal Carolina 70-10 in Columbia in 2013.

Coastal Carolina will officially move up to the FBS and the Sun Belt Conference on July 1. The Chanticleers will be eligible to compete for the Sun Belt title this season and can play in a bowl game following the 2018 season.

South Carolina will host Chattanooga in Columbia on Nov. 17, 2018. The Mocs will receive a $400,000 guarantee for the game, per a copy of the contract.

Chattanooga is a member of the Southern Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision. In 2016, UTC (9-4, 6-2 SoCon) advanced to the 2nd round of the FCS Playoffs but fell at No. 1 Sam Houston State 41-36.

The addition of Coastal Carolina and Chattanooga tentatively completes South Carolina’s non-conference schedule for the 2018 season. The Gamecocks are also slated to host Marshall on Sept. 15 and travel to arch-rival Clemson on Nov. 24.

In SEC play in 2018, South Carolina is currently scheduled to host Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas A&M and travel to Florida, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss.
