The SEC Network football schedule is set for the first four weeks of the 2014 season. All 14 SEC teams will appear on the network in the first four weeks.
The action kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 28 with a doubleheader featuring Texas A&M at South Carolina (6pm ET) followed by Temple at Vanderbilt (9:15pm ET).
On Saturday, Sept. 30, the SEC Network will broadcast three games: UT Martin at Kentucky (Noon ET), Arkansas at Auburn (4pm ET), and Southern Miss at Mississippi State (7:30pm ET).
“The fact that the SEC Network will originate a game from every stadium in the conference in the first four weeks of the 2014 season is testament to the depth of coverage fans can expect from the network,” said Mike Slive, SEC commissioner. “In just the first month of the season, fans that get the network will enjoy all the passion and pageantry of SEC football from 14 of the greatest venues in the world of sports. This is what the SEC Network is all about.”
On Saturday, Sept. 6, the SEC Network will broadcast six games — two at noon, two at 4pm and two at 7:30pm. An overflow channel will be made available for games on that day.

You think SMU @ Miss. St. & Temple @ Vandy are good games? People may watch them because they have been football deprived for months, but do you think the home teams are bad enough to allow SMU/Temple to have a chance at winning?

I know the purpose of the SEC Network is the same as the Big Ten Network. Making sure you get ALL of the games that are not picked up by major networks or ESPN. I get it. It's accomplishing it's goal, which is great. I am just teasing at all the FCS/lower FBS games there are. Which, of course, is done by all conferences.
Travis B. Thanks Travis. I thought you were teasing, but a "Long Suffering UK Football Fan" sometimes get tired of the teasing. And, that is because we have a very real reality to face each and every year. I like to tease too, though. As long as it's in fun and not mean spirited.
Anyway, again the bottom line about this article and these comments (for me, anyway) is this... Complain all anybody wants about the games that are broadcast.. They are better games than ANY other conference has to offer. Is this a double standard or what, w/ these commenters? Even though they are better games than their own teams will be involved in, they still think they are not good enough.
You want me to pay for these games? Most of these are SEC teams vs. Anyone else in the world not in the SEC that you've never heard of. Nicholls State @ Arkansas....Sam Houston State @LSU.......how about my teenage daughter and her girlfriends vs. Alabama.......are you kidding me. And you're surprised that all of the cable and satellite providers aren't lining up at your door with briefcases full of MY money to sign up?
Hopefully this will change in the future. Either the SEC will spread these crappy games out, or ESPN will want better games.
Remember this is just the first four weeks of the season.
As we get into October and November, the network will air better games.
Also, CBS and ESPN pick up the bigger games, while SEC TV just picks up the lower-profile SEC games because only people down there would watch them. Example: People in California or Minnesota wouldn't watch Nicholls St @ Arkansas or UTM @ UK.

Maybe yall dont know that non-confress games are not for your team. It is to help the suposed lesser schools generate monies for their programs. Plus to help your team with injuries, Alabama and Auburn can't play every week. They both have a schedule that is contracted, that are years ahead in planning.
You idiots!! This is the first four weeks when no one plays no one. After that there will be some better games. But remember that CBS gets the first choice then ESPN gets the second choice so the SEC network will get the remaining games
I won't have to pay for it with my package here in Alabama. As far as everyone complaining goes, did it ever occur to the trolls that if my team is playing a small school that the game would never be aired otherwise. Just because it's a "bad game" doesn't mean I don't want to see my team play! I would love to see ALL of my favorite team's games!
