The SEC football schedule is coming into focus as the 2022 SEC on CBS slate of games was announced on Wednesday. CBS Sports coverage of the SEC begins on Saturday, Sept. 17 with Penn State at Auburn.
The SEC on CBS schedule in 2022 features a total of 15 games, three of which were announced today — the previously mentioned Penn State at Auburn contest (Sept. 17; 3:30pm ET), the annual Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville, Florida (Oct. 29, 3:30pm ET), and Arkansas at Missouri (Friday, Nov. 25, 3:30pm ET).
CBS will again televise two SEC football doubleheaders during the 2022 college football season. The first CBS doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8 with 3:30 and 8:00pm ET games.
The second doubleheader on CBS is slated for Saturday, Oct. 12 in the noon and 3:30pm ET time slots.
Several additional games were included in the CBS release today — SEC Championship Game on Dec. 3 (4pm ET), the annual Army-Navy Game on Dec. 10 (3pm ET), and the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl on Dec. 30 (12pm ET).
CBS will also air Arizona at San Diego State on Sept. 3, Colorado at Air Force on Sept. 10, Navy at Air Force on Oct. 1, Air Force vs. Army on Nov. 5, and Utah State at Boise State on Nov. 25.
All remaining SEC On CBS games will be announced six-to-12 days prior to the date of the game.
