SEC Announces Early Season 2013 Football TV Schedule

The SEC has announced their early season 2013 football TV schedule. The season kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 29 when South Carolina hosts North Carolina and Vanderbilt hosts Ole Miss.

Three neutral site match-ups involving SEC teams are featured on Saturday, Aug. 31. In the Texas Kickoff Classic, Mississippi State takes on Oklahoma State at Reliant Stadium in Houston (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN2), while Alabama faces Virginia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta (5:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). The night cap features LSU taking on TCU at Cowboys Stadium (9 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Johnny Manziel, aka “Johnny Football, and Texas A&M open the 2013 season at home vs. Rice on Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. ET (ESPN). And in another huge non-conference match-up, Georgia travels to Clemson (8 p.m. ET, ABC).

The 2013 SEC Championship Game will be televised by CBS at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, December, 7, 2013.

Overall, 37 games have been announced involving SEC teams for broadcast on ABC, CBS, ESPN Networks, FSN, SEC Network, and Pay-Per-View.
