The San Jose State Spartans will play at the Penn State Nittany Lions in 2020, FBSchedules.com has learned.
San Jose State will travel to take on Penn State at Beaver Stadium on Sept. 19, 2020. The Spartans will receive a $1.5 million guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from San Jose State University via a public records request.
The 2020 game between San Jose State and Penn State will be their first-ever meeting on the gridiron.
The addition of Penn State tentatively completes San Jose State’s non-conference schedule in 2020. The Spartans are also slated to travel to Central Michigan on Sept. 5, host UC Davis on Sept. 12, and host Army on Nov. 14.
San Jose State is the second scheduled 2020 non-conference game for Penn State. The Nittany Lions are also scheduled to travel to Virginia Tech on Sept. 12.
