The Samford Bulldogs have released their fall 2021 football schedule, which features five home games and six games away from Birmingham.
Two Ohio Valley Conference opponents start the slate, with Tennessee Tech opening the year at Seibert Stadium in Homewood, Ala., on Thursday, Sept. 2, followed by a trip to UT Martin on Saturday, Sept. 11.
Southern Conference (SoCon) play commences the following week in Cullowhee, N.C., as the Bulldogs trek to the mountains to face off with Western Carolina. East Tennessee State descends on Birmingham on Sept. 25 to close out the month’s festivities.
Road games at Mercer (Oct. 2) and Wofford (Oct. 16) sandwich a Bulldog bye, with Chattanooga offering Samford’s lone home tilt in October the following week. A trip to Lexington, Va., to face VMI ends October on the day before Halloween.
The Citadel visits the Magic City on Saturday, Nov. 6, before the Bulldogs hit the road to Gainesville to do battle with Florida in the Swamp on Nov. 13. The Paladins of Furman close out the regular-season slate with a Nov. 20 tilt.

Samford is 3-3 in its current spring 2021 campaign, with a season-ending game against Mercer at noon (Central) on Saturday, Apr. 17.
