Presbyterian College’s Sept. 12 contest at Johnson C. Smith has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will not be rescheduled, the school announced Friday.

The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), of which Johnson C. Smith is a member, voted to cancel all fall sports due to safety concerns from the virus.

The cancellation leaves the Blue Hose with 10 contests planned for the 2020 campaign, the first season for PC as an FCS independent. The team begins its schedule with a trip to Morehead State of the Pioneer Football League on Thursday, Sept. 3. Presbyterian then returns to Bailey Memorial Stadium in Clinton, South Carolina, for a Sept. 19 tilt with UVA Wise.
