The Pittsburgh Panthers and the UCF Knights have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2018 and 2019, both schools announced on Thursday.
In the first game of the series, Pitt will travel to face UCF at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando on Sept. 29, 2018. The Panthers will then host the Knights at Heinz Field on Sept. 21, 2019.
In their first and only meeting on the gridiron, Pitt beat UCF 52-7 in Orlando back in 2006.
The addition of UCF completes Pitt’s non-conference schedules in both 2018 and 2019. In 2018, the Panthers are also scheduled to host Albany (Sept. 1) and Penn State (Sept. 8) and travel to Notre Dame (Oct. 20).
In 2019, Pittsburgh is slated to open at home vs. Delaware (Aug. 31) and Ohio (Sept. 7) and travel to Penn State (Sept. 14).
UCF now has three announced non-conference opponents for both the 2018 and 2019 seasons. In 2018, the Knights are also set to visit North Carolina (Sept. 15) and host Florida Atlantic (Sept. 22).
In 2019, UCF is also scheduled to travel to Florida Atlantic (Sept. 7) and host Stanford (Sept. 14).
