The Ole Miss Rebels have made a change to their 2020 football schedule, postponing a game against Middle Tennessee and adding UConn, the school announced on Thursday.

Ole Miss was previously scheduled to host the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Oct. 24, 2020, but that contest has been postponed four seasons to Sept. 7, 2024.

The Rebels will now host the UConn Huskies on Oct. 24, 2020. UConn is leaving the American Athletic Conference following the 2019 season and will begin playing as a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Independent in 2020.

Ole Miss’ 2020 football schedule was released by the SEC in August. The Rebels are scheduled to open the 2020 season against the Baylor Bears at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Other non-conference opponents for Ole Miss in 2020 include Southeast Missouri at home on Sept. 12, the previously mentioned UConn contest, and a home game against Georgia Southern on Nov. 21.

In SEC play in 2020, Ole Miss will host Auburn (Sept. 19), Alabama (Oct. 3), Florida (Oct. 17), and Mississippi State (Thursday, Nov. 26) at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss.

Road conference games for the Rebels next season include LSU (Sept. 26), Vanderbilt (Oct. 10), Texas A&M (Nov. 7), and Arkansas (Nov. 14).
