The North Carolina Central Eagles have announced their 2019 football schedule, which includes five home contests.

North Carolina Central will open the 2019 season with three consecutive non-conference games on the road, beginning with a contest at the Austin Peay Governors on Aug. 31.

The Eagles then travel to take on the Towson Tigers on Sept. 7, followed by a trip to face the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs on Sept. 14.

NCCU’s final non-conference game in 2019 is also their home-opener at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium in Durham. The Elizabeth City State Vikings come to town for that contest on Sept. 21.

North Carolina Central opens Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) action with back-to-back road contests. The Eagles visit the Morgan State Bears on Sept. 28 and the Florida A&M Rattlers on Oct. 5.

NCCU returns home to host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats on Oct. 12 before the Eagles enjoy their only open date of the season on Oct. 19.

The Delaware State Hornets visit Durham on Oct. 26, and then North Carolina Central hits the road to take on the Howard Bison on Nov. 2.

Next, North Carolina Central hosts back-to-back games at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium. The Norfolk State Spartans visit on Nov. 9 for NCCU’s Homecoming, followed by the South Carolina State Bulldogs on Nov. 16 for Senior Day.

North Carolina Central closes out the 2019 regular-season on the road at the North Carolina A&T Aggies on Nov. 23.

NCCU recorded a 5-6 overall record and a 3-4 record in MEAC play last season. The Eagles last won the MEAC championship in 2016.
